CHSSC President Eugene Moy was the Grand Marshal for the 127th Golden Dragon Parade in downtown Chinatown on Saturday, February 21, 2026. He was recognized for his many years as a community leader in Los Angeles Chinatown. 2026 is the Chinese Year of the Fire Horse, an event that happens once every 60 years.

Members of the Historical Society marched in the parade, with its iconic banner and American flags. At our Chinatown Heritage Center, the visiting lion dancers were fed lettuce which symbolizes attracting wealth, prosperity, and good luck for the new year.
