We were there exactly on September 5th, 150 years after the ‘Wedding of the Rails’ at Lang Station that linked Northern and Southern California by train. In 1876, your sweat and toil were not recognized. But in 2026, we were there to represent YOUR contributions and hard work in building this state and this country.

We celebrate the thousands of YOU, our ancestors and mentors. Both the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society and the Chinese Historical Society of Southern California were founded 50 years ago, and one of our first joint activity was to commemorate Lang Station’s 100th Anniversary in 1976.

In 2026, Eugene Moy of CHSSC, Santa Clarita Mayor Laurence Weste, and Dr. Alan Pollack of Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society were some of the eloquent speakers of this wonderful commemoration.
