Survival and Loss: A Joint Discussion of Los Angeles and San Francisco Chinatowns

Join the Chinese American Museum and California Historical Society for Survival and Loss: A Joint Discussion of Los Angeles and San Francisco Chinatowns on Thursday, March 7, 6:30 p.m. at our host venue, LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes.
Historians, advocates, artists, and media specialists will explore how these two Chinatowns emerged, were threatened, survived, and thrived. Possible futures for both as well as how we all can better celebrate and support these two historic spaces will be discussed.
After the panel, join us at the CAM for light snacks and a special evening viewing of the museum’s permanent as well as its newest exhibition,Lightscapes. Panelists will include Cathy Gudis (Moderator) Nayan Shah, Eddie Wong, Steven Wong, and Judy Tzu-Chun Wu.
